How a quick walk can pay off.

by Tom Kaszuba on May 17, 2009

My wife and I went to Westerly Rhode Island yesterday for Pizza. The evening was completely overcast. I took a handful of photos as we ventured through the beautiful Wilcox Park.

Here are a variety of photos from that walk.

Click on the photos to see them larger.

The variety of potential photos when just going for a simple walk around a city park is vast. We did not walk for an extended period of time due to the impending rain storm.

You don’t always need much time to get some attractive photographs.

Note: All shots taken with the Canon 5D and the Canon 135 f/2 lens.

Yep…I agree 100%! I’m a firm believer that many great shots are right out your back door or in your case, down the street :) Love the seagull and bench shots!

Sometimes my favorite is just going on a walk with one lens too. Sometimes people feel restricted by that…. but it helps us be more creative and work with what we have. Great job Tom!

I’m in agreement on the one lens thing. Make it even more interesting. Bring one prime lens. :)
